“I won’t waver in my commitment,” asserts the American. “Competition fuels me. Winning drives me. Losing? I despise it.”
Yet, with his recent triumph at Augusta marking his third victory in four tournaments and his second major, Scheffler acknowledges that family takes precedence over his golfing pursuits. His mind now drifts homeward to Texas, where his wife Meredith eagerly anticipates the arrival of their first child.
“My thoughts are consumed with returning home. It’s a significant moment for us,” he shares, emphasizing the joy of impending parenthood. “I’ll revel in this victory and embrace the birth of our child. Reuniting with Meredith is long overdue.”
